Situated in the leafy College grounds the Ormiston College Early Learning Centre bears the affectionate name of ‘Puggles Burrow’.
Puggles Burrow is a fun, safe and nurturing environment for little learners from 15 months through to 5 years of age. With excellent facilities and resources, your little one will develop a curiosity and enthusiasm for learning that will help them to become school ready. They will learn to explore, discover new things, try out new skills, as well as build sound communication and essential social skills in a warm, enriched and caring environment.
The Ormiston College early learning program crosses all curricular boundaries opening up the acquisition of literacy and the development of skills. The Early Years Learning Framework, part of the Council of Australian Government reform agenda, makes up the basis of our program. The Framework provides strong support for play based learning. Imaginative play and physical play assist in multiple skill development, including oral language, early mathematical understanding, communication, social and emotional wellbeing as well as the active learning processes. Our program aims to assist children in building their confidence and self esteem through team work, challenges and a sense of belonging.
Singing, dancing, inventing and discovering are all very much a part of everyday life at Puggle's Burrow. Please arrange a visit to see for yourself.
