YOU, have been instrumental in this new, exciting addition

Posted on 03 December 2015

The Board, Executive and P&F Association have listened to the wishes and suggestions made by our families in regard to money spent on undercover access for our Junior Students. The money raised from the 2014 and 2015 Annual Giving has assisted in making those wishes a reality. For that, we thank you. Not only for your genuine concern and interest in the welfare of our students but also for your generous donations over the past two years.

Over the Christmas period we will commence the redevelopment of the entire Junior School Courtyard to include the much needed shaded seating and outdoor learning areas. The above image provides an architect impression of the completed project.

What is more exciting is that this project will bring the Junior School in line with the rest of the campus. Earlier in the year we completed Murraya Court for our Year 6 students, prior to which we completed the Year 7 Precinct. The Northern Courtyard is still giving great pleasure to our Senior students.

This new project will complete a wonderful area for students in Year 1 to Year 5.

There will be several outdoor teaching areas, many small group seating areas, plus sculptural elements and new pathways. There will be a parent waiting area, a covered link to Junior Administration, an extension to the raised stage plus a large, informal open grassed play area.

As if that isn’t enough, there will be several designated courts: Koala Court, Platypus Court, Black Cockatoo Court, Dugong Court, Greater Glider Court, Sea Turtle Court and Green Frog Court. This completed project will present a magnificent environment for our young students.

With weather permitting, we hope to have this completed by the middle of Term 1. A project we can all be very proud of and look forward to enjoying.
