rmiston College is a coeducational, non-denominational Christian School based on Christian values and the Chaplain plays an important role at the College. As part of the Student Support Services Team, the Chaplain plays a key pastoral care role within the school community and works with the Guidance Counsellors and Staff in the provision of Student Welfare support.
On a voluntary basis some students may wish to access the Chaplain through a one-on-one appointment. As is the case when making an appointment with other members of the Student Support Services Team, initial contact can be made via email on email@example.com or by making a request at the Student Support Services office.
Chaplaincy is primarily a service of pastoral care within the College community. The Chaplain's focus is to provide guidance and support for students; however, the service is also available to families, staff and wider school community.
The Ormiston College Chaplaincy Committee comprises representatives from the College Executive, Parent Body, Staff and the Chaplain. This group is charged with the responsibility of the development and implementation of the operational plan of the Chaplaincy. Feedback from the community can be directed through this group. In addition to the Ormiston College Chaplaincy Committee, the Parents and Friends Association have created a Chaplaincy Support Group. As such, the Ormiston College Chaplaincy Support Group reports to the Parents and Friends Association. The Chaplaincy Support Group plays a vital role in supporting Chaplaincy by providing a range of human and financial resources. Parents who wish to become involved in or provide feedback to the Chaplaincy Committee should contact the Parents and Friends Association.
