Brisbane Speech & Drama Eisteddfod Success


One again, our students participated in the Brisbane Speech & Drama Eisteddfod at the end of August with outstanding results. Our competitors travelled from far and wide across Queensland to participate, and we are very proud to have been awarded an impressive haul of over 140 prizes, trophies, medals and bursaries.

​On Wednesday 12 August 2020, it was announced that Ormiston College Year 5 Teacher, Holly Photiou and Dean of Music, Jason Taggart, have been included in The Educator’s fifth annual Hot List.

Further recognition for the Ormiston College Centre for Learning and Innovation

Ormiston College was delighted to hear they had been named, yet again, for their most recent architectural addition, the Centre for Learning and Innovation. This prestigious acknowledgement was announced by the national association, Learning Environments Australasia (LEA), during their 13th Annual Awards event in the middle of June.

Animation Festival

With the unexpected pivot to Learning from Home in Term 2, Ormiston College Visual and Media Arts staff quickly altered assessments to make them animation based. As a result, the 2020 Animation Festival came to fruition: showcasing animations by the Middle School Visual and Media Artists.
