Girl power strong in Tug of War competition

DSC 0066

The final rounds of the Year 8 Intra-Form Tug of War competition were held today in hot and humid conditions on the Bank of QLD oval. All Year 8 Form Classes were keen to make the final and were strongly encouraged by their enthusiastic Form Teachers. In the final it was 8.5 claiming an emphatic victory over 8.4, with 8.1, 8.2 and 8.3 filling the minor places. The last event of the day was the Boys v Girls Tug of War competition and it was the boys who thought they might have the upper hand. The girls were not keen to be beaten and gave it their best effort. They were the clear winners on the day and gained bragging rights and the respect of the boys.
