Ormiston College is always on the look-out for new ways in which to inspire students; encouraging them to strive for higher goals and so enhance their academic outcomes. Last year the College hired the top leaders in this field, namely Elevate Education, to host their program at the school, the cost of which was borne by each individual parent.
Due to the success of this venture and the overwhelming advantages gained by many of our students, the College made the decision to fund the return of Elevate Education, making their workshop session available to all students in our Middle and Senior Schools.
During the first few weeks of the school year, all students from Year 7 through to Year 12 attended, an Elevate Education study skills seminar. This timely seminar is a great start to the year for all of our Secondary students. The program will assist students with their study techniques by helping them with organisation, advising them on building successful work patterns, and how to improve their learning habits.
This is a very exciting move by the school, intended to increase student motivation and the desire to gain higher examination results and an overall boost in achievement levels. This outcome will not only benefit our students with their school work but will also provide a basis for the acquisition of lifelong skills.
