"On Monday 11 January, we began a five day German Intensive course at the Institute of Modern Languages at the University of Queensland, St Lucia. Throughout the week we expanded our knowledge and understanding of the German language in greater depth. We specifically focused on the rules of grammar and all the different variations included. Some aspects we had already covered in class and others were completely new. Exploring the facilities that the campus had to offer each day was a great and insightful immersion into university life. The lecturers were very helpful and enthusiastic, making for a delightful learning experience. On the last day students studying various other languages combined for a lunch, and we then attended a lecture from the Dean of Modern Languages about the career benefits of furthering our studies after school. Overall, it was a very insightful experience and we all plan on continuing German and developing our skills in years to come. We would highly recommend the course to anyone wishing to go further in their language studies."
