In recent months, Craig Askin, Head of Learning and Innovation, has introduced ClassVR to the College. As a result, hundreds of Junior and Middle School students have had the opportunity to participate in Inspire Sessions that have provided an orientation to the latest in Virtual and Augmented Reality technology. Aside from the engagement and enjoyment demonstrated by students in these sessions, there is also research demonstrating that this immersion leads to greater understanding and retention of information. This unparalleled opportunity is not something that is readily available across many schools in Australia, however, it is part of an Ormiston College education.
