OUTSTANDING RESULTS

NAPLAN

The 2019 combined result for Year 7 and Year 9 produced our best ever result, placing 8th in the State for overall NAPLAN outcomes. More specifically, Year 7 was placed 4th in Spelling and 5th in Numeracy. Year 9 was 5th in Numeracy and 5th in Grammar and Punctuation. These outcomes reflect a college-wide commitment to Literacy and Numeracy.

Graduate Outcomes

In 2019 QLD released the last ever OP results. These results continue Ormiston College’s reputation as one of the best academic performing schools in Queensland. Ormiston College listed in the top four of the state: 42% of Year 12 students achieved an OP score of 5 or better; 78% of Year 12 students achieved an OP score of 10 or better; 92% achieved an OP score of 15 or better.

For the sixth year in a row, Ormiston College has been named one of Australia’s Most Innovative Schools.

Outstanding Results

College Awards

Ormiston College continues to be recognised with multiple Australian Education Awards. In 2018 Ormiston College was named Australia’s top school for Best Use of Technology. In 2019, Ormiston College won the award for Most Innovative Curriculum Design for our Teaching and Learning Framework. In 2020 the College received Excellence Awards for: Best School Strategic Plan, Best Use of Technology, Innovation in Learning Environment Design, Primary School of the Year (Non-government), Secondary School of the Year (Non-government). In 2019 Ormiston College won gold in three categories of the EduTECH Asia Awards: Best Learning Space, Best Use of Classroom Technology and Leadership Award for Headmaster Brett Webster.
