Ormiston College is proud to announce the introduction of Engineering as a subject in the Foundation Studies curriculum, marking a significant step forward in preparing students for the future of innovation, design, and technology.
Starting from 2026, students in Year 10 will have the opportunity to explore the exciting world of engineering through problem-based learning. The subject will cover key areas such Engineering fundamentals, emerging technologies, civil structures and machines and mechanisms, and will be aligned with the Australian Curriculum.
With many of our alumni pursuing careers in engineering and related fields, we are proud to offer this opportunity to help students explore their passion for innovation, critical and creative thinking from the start of their senior schooling journey.
This new subject offering reflects Ormiston College’s commitment to providing a future-focused education that equips students with the skills and knowledge to thrive in a fast changing 21st century world.
