Ormiston College is proud to congratulate Humanities Teacher, Roslyn Minnikin, on being named in The Educator’s eleventh annual Hot List for 2025. This prestigious recognition celebrates educators who are driving innovation and progress across Australia’s K–12 sector, and Roz’s inclusion is a testament to her outstanding contribution to teaching and learning.

Throughout her career, Roz has consistently upheld high standards in the classroom, creating a dynamic environment where engagement, personalised learning, and academic rigour thrive. As Coordinator of Geography for Years 8 to 12, she has strategically designed programs aligned with the OC Learning Framework that empower students to meet and exceed expectations. Her creative approach brings learning to life through experiences such as the Medieval Feast and Dance, kinetic sand modelling of coastal landforms, and the Geospatial Scavenger Hunt, which prepares students for real-world investigations.

Beyond the classroom, Roz has introduced innovative fieldwork opportunities and integrated cutting-edge geospatial technologies into coursework, bridging theory with industry practice. These initiatives not only deepen students’ understanding of Geography but also develop technical and analytical skills essential for future success.

Roz’s recognition on the 2025 Hot List reflects her passion for education, her commitment to empowering students, and her role in shaping innovative learning experiences. Congratulations, Roz, on this well-deserved recognition.
