It was an extraordinary debut year for Ormiston College in the prestigious Knowles Cup. Competing against some of the strongest girls tennis schools in South East Queensland, our players delivered an outstanding performance that exceeded all expectations. The level of competition was intense, yet our girls rose to the challenge with every OC team qualifying for the semi-finals, a remarkable achievement that speaks volumes about their talent and determination.
Congratulations to our Intermediate team who powered their way into the Grand Final and finished as Runners-Up for The Norris Shield. Their resilience and teamwork were on full display, embodying OC spirit in every point played.
A special congratulations to Zara who was awarded both The Marie Lepherd Cup for Best Individual Performance and The Sister Assumpta Shield as A Grade Champion. This exceptional double honour recognises her skill, consistency, and competitive spirit throughout the tournament, a well-deserved accolade.
Beyond the results, this inaugural season was defined by team spirit, integrity, and camaraderie. From nail-biting deuces to enthusiastic courtside support, OC Girls Tennis showed what it truly means to compete with courage and character.
Congratulations to all players and supporters for an unforgettable first season in the Knowles Cup. We look forward to building on this success in the years to come.
