The Ormiston College Redbacks capped off an excellent season of sport finishing in second place overall in the TAS championship. Throughout the term, 49 teams represented the College across TAS and TAS Shield competitions in Girls Basketball, Boys Cricket, Girls Football, Girls Tennis and Boys Volleyball.
Our swimmers also enjoyed a successful season, claiming both the Overall Champion School and Girls Champion School titles at the TAS Swimming Carnival. The Sports Awards Ceremony, held on Wednesday 1 April, served as an opportunity to celebrate our Redbacks and to recognise individual and team achievements during Trimester 1 Bringing all sports together in one event and sharing the occasion with families made the event particularly special. All players, coordinators, coaches, managers, volunteers, families and supporters are to be commended on an outstanding Trimester 1 season.
The Redbacks now look ahead to an action-packed Trimester 2, competing in Girls Hockey, Girls Netball, Boys Rugby and Boys Tennis.
