The much-anticipated Colour Fun Run returned this year bringing students, staff and families together for an unforgettable afternoon filled with fun, laughter and a kaleidoscope of colour on the last day of Term 1. The biennial event, organised by the P&F Association, is its major fundraising campaign, with proceeds supporting initiatives that directly benefit students such as chilled bubblers and playground upgrades.

Excitement filled the air as students gathered at the start line dressed in white t-shirts and various head gear. When the starting signal sounded, eager runners surged onto the course, where staff and volunteers lined the way armed with coloured powder and water guns. The course featured obstacles, inflatables, slime, water, and plenty of laughter. A highlight along the course was the foam pit, where shrieks of delight were heard as students ran through billowing clouds of foam, emerging with grins plastered across their faces.

Once the whirlwind of colour had settled, the most anticipated moment arrived as Mr Hornby, along with executive team members, courageously stepped forward to be slimed by the event’s fundraising champions. Cheers erupted as buckets of green, gooey slime cascaded down over the staff, an entertaining end to a memorable day.

Thank you to all OC families for your support of the Colour Fun Run fundraising campaign. Your involvement and generosity helped make the day a success and will contribute to meaningful projects that benefit our school community.
