Ormiston College Co-curricular Music ensembles delivered outstanding performance at the Redlands Eisteddfod, held on campus during Term 3. This event provided our students with the opportunity to perform in a competitive setting and observe the skill of high-quality ensembles from the community.
The Eisteddfod featured a diverse range of categories, including string, choral, band and percussion sections. Ormiston College was proudly represented by 22 ensembles, each showcasing their dedication, skill, and passion for music.
Our ensembles achieved the following exceptional results:
- First Place: Sonata Strings, Scherzo Strings, Kinders, Voices, Singers, Chorale, Redbacks, Beginner Band, Wind Ensemble, Wind Orchestra, Jazz Band
- Second Place: Subito Strings, Symphony Strings, Bellas, Wind Symphony, Stage Band, Big Band
- Third Place: Vibrato Guitars
- Highly Commended: Tremolo Guitars, Rock Band Blue, Rock Band Maroon, Percussion Ensemble
These achievements are a testament to the hard work and commitment of our young musicians. Participating in these events not only fuels personal and ensemble growth but also inspires students to elevate their standard of performance.
