This year, 'The Chop' is back and bigger than ever!

Since the initiative began at OC in 2015, led by Social Justice Prefects India Hedger and Michaela Mulder, over $140,000 in total has been raised and donated to Mater Chicks in Pink. Through Sustainable Salons, hair from participating students has been made into numerous charitable wigs for children and adults suffering from hair loss, or in the case of shorter hair, donated to create ‘hair booms’ to clean up oil in our oceans.

Now in its ninth year, a record-breaking 54 Ormiston College Year 12 girls will be participating in 'The Chop'. Funds raised will be used to drive breast cancer research focusing on survival rates.
