Ormiston College artist-in-residence, Deb Mostert, recently worked with our Year 8 Visual Artists. She discussed the importance of drawing and shared her fascinating sketchbooks documenting her daily experiences as an artist, bird-watcher, traveller and conservationist.

The students enjoyed viewing 'Australien Future', her exhibition of painting and sculpture exploring the parallels between human and wader bird migration.

Deb also helped the students to construct migratory bird sculptures. The results of the students’ efforts will be displayed in the CLI Plaza, later in the term.

Deb donated a magnificent migratory bird sculpture to the College; it stands proudly in the Admin foyer. Please feel welcome to come in and view it.
