Throughout 2025, Ormiston College proudly participated in the FUSE Cup esports competition within the Brisbane Primary Schools division. The Federation of United Schools Esports (FUSE) Cup offers young students a safe, supportive and structured environment to compete in esports while promoting positive gaming behaviours and digital wellbeing.

Our College fielded several talented teams across three exciting rounds featuring Mario Kart, Just Dance and Rocket League.

The competition began with the regional qualifiers, where four Junior School students represented Ormiston College in the Mario Kart round. The competition was intense right to the finish line, and we are thrilled to share that Zach achieved an outstanding second place overall.

In Round 2 the energy and precision of the Just Dance team paid off as they danced their way to victory and qualified for the State Finals. Adding to this success, Rosa delivered an exceptional performance to claim the Solo Champion title.

The final round featured a thrilling Rocket League showdown. Our team demonstrated great skill and determination, advancing to the quarter finals and representing the College with pride.

The excitement continued at the Queensland State Finals on the Gold Coast in November, where our Just Dance team once again shone brightly. On Day One, they held off strong competition to secure the Queensland State title, while Rosa repeated her success in the individual category. On Day Two, the team gave their all in the National Final, narrowly missing first place and finishing as National Runners-Up, a phenomenal achievement.

Congratulations to all our young gamers for their incredible results and for embodying the values of teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship throughout the competition.
