OC students gymnasts for a day

Towards the end of Term 2, the youngest of our OC students made their way down to the YMCA at Victoria Point for a fun filled gymtastic excursion!

Our Preps, Year 1 and Year 2 students were very excited to be travelling on a bus with their classmates and were even more excited when they arrived at the venue and took a look at all of the amazing gymnastics equipment that was available to them.

The highlight was definitely the massive foam pit in which they could jump into but they also got to have a go on the beams, trampolines and bars and even got to swing on the rings.

This excursion was a culminating activity to further extend the students gymnastics unit that they had been participating in during Physical Education this term and enabled our students to experience a professional gymnasium environment that is situated in our local community.

It was wonderful to open a pathway for our students with this facility and we are looking forward to making another trip back there next year!
