During Term 4, Ormiston College students in Years 7, 8 and 9 are working with iSEE CARE to put together hampers for those in need this Christmas.
Chris Brown from iSEE CARE came to speak to students at Middle School Assembly and launch our hamper drive for this term. Students have been asked to bring in a selection of items over a four week period with the goal of packing as many hampers as possible. Our Year 8 students are going to write cards to accompany each hamper and on Thursday 24 November our Year 9 students, along with volunteers from iSEE CARE are going to pack the hampers ready for distribution by iSEE CARE.
iSEE CARE recognises a global responsibility to serve the younger generation, to help families in need and to support the school communities raising the world’s future movers and shakers. iSEE CARE has learnt over the years that when times are tough or even just when life is busy, it can sometimes feel overwhelming to find help – so that’s why they specialise in going straight to the point of need.
We would love and invite the whole College community to get behind this initiative. Donations can be dropped off at Administration or to the chapel. This is a great opportunity for our students to be a blessing to those less fortunate this Christmas.
