Ormiston College students remember those who have fallen


Remembrance Day falls on the 11th of November each year. On the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month, a minutes’ silence is observed and dedicated to those soldiers who died fighting to protect the nation.

Ormiston College held a short Remembrance Day Service on Friday 11 November to remember the many men and women who lost their lives at War. Our Navy and Airforce Cadets participated in the Service.

Bronte Ling and Matisse Grant recited the Poem “Please Wear a Poppy" and Brett Webster along with Year 7 Teacher Peter Brandon and students from each sub school laid a Wreath at the College ANZAC Memorial Garden in the Southern Courtyard.

Students also represented the College at the Cleveland Service.
