A pink cupcake was the food of choice at last weekend’s TAS games when OC Rugby held their annual Pink Day. This year marks the eighth year that the First XV team have donned pink jerseys in support of fundraising for breast cancer research and awareness programs.
Pink Day brought out the best in OC rugby with some very big scores achieved against the CHAC teams. A junior ‘Rookie to Redback’ game was held prior to the First XV kick-off, and again at half-time, adding to the spirit of the day.
Pink Day often attracts many of our alumni to the Somerset Sport Centre oval and it was great to see so many of them supporting our teams.
The OC community once again gave generously, purchasing pink cupcakes, wrist bands, water bottles and raffle tickets, contributing to the $2000 raised.
Parents of the College were the winners of both raffle prizes this year with Victoria Williams winning the first prize of $375 and Richard Stone the winner of the Pink Day jersey.
Thank you for your support once again of this very important cause.
