Prep Morning Tea with a ‘Very Hungry’ Theme

What a metamorphosis our Prep Precinct underwent when we recently hosted our well overdue Very Hungry Caterpillar Morning Tea! Our families gathered from near and far to help mark the occasion and make the morning a huge success for all involved. Even Mr Goulter, Ms Bowker and Ms Ware joined us in their finest butterfly attire to ensure the day was a colourful and ‘glittery’ success.

After dining on the many foods prepared by clever parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, inspired by Eric Carle’s famous children’s book, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, it was time to share in some wonderful activities centred around this wonderful notion of a caterpillar’s transformation. We collected tokens at each activity station that took us on a learning journey through the lifecycle of a butterfly.

It was a wonderful way to mark just how far we had come in Term 1 as little preps entering into a great unknown, which is sometimes an exciting and sometimes a little daunting learning journey. It is safe to say that as we fly into Term 2 our own little wings are well and truly taking shape and our teachers could not be prouder of the AMAZING little people we are becoming each and every day!
