September is Roald Dahl's birth month and a wonderful array of events are held worldwide each year centred around his birthday on 13 September.
This year marks 100 years since the birth of Roald Dahl and schools were encouraged to make this year’s celebration of Roald Dahl Day the biggest ever.
To celebrate the day at Ormiston College, a Roald Dahl competition was held in the Centre for Learning and Innovation. Students in Years 3 to 6 were invited to hunt for the hidden images of ten Roald Dahl characters, and then to identify them and the books they came from.
Congratulations to our overall winner, Max Simmonds (Year 5)
Highly commended certificates were also given to the following students for the high quality of their entries:
Year 3: Michael Thierry, Charlotte Boniface
Year 4: Zoe-Matilda Harvey
Year 5: Edward Boniface, Flynn Warden, Dylan Penniket, Ariella Veale, Chloe Snell, Riley Bergin, Connor Delibaltas
Year6: Lauren McCormack
