Throughout last term, regular checks were being made on the snowfalls at Perisher, so the perfect skiing season came as no surprise to 49 of our Year 12 students and accompanying staff. The excited group arrived to spend the first week of their September school holidays at the Corroboree Lodge in the best snow conditions that Perisher had experienced in 20 years.
Students were greeted with the news that every single run and all snowfields were open, even Smiggins had a magnificent, full snow cover. Enthusiasm took hold as students took to the slopes to enjoy hours of invigorating skiing. It was an incredible atmosphere and an overwhelming experience for those who had never seen snow before. To add to the pleasure of spending each day on the slopes, students were delighted to encounter the unforgettable thrill of night skiing.
The Ormiston College ski trip is a traditional annual event open to Seniors in their final year. This year’s group of students shared a very special time with their peers, enjoying many new experiences and creating memories of a lifetime. A great way to spend a school holiday.
